Xango

(Tune signal: Rain trickling down, with 10 fingers)

(Note: some bands signal the tune using a crossed fingers sign (same as the one for the Xango break)).

Notes:

Start the tune with the intro break (without surdos), then count in the Surdos for the "big boobs break". Come out of the intro and into the groove using the Xango break. 

Try stopping the agogos for 4 beats and everyone else EXCEPT the tams for 8 beats, so that the agogos come in as the tams reach the silent bit of their patter.

Also make use of the short break (BUT be aware - not all bands in the RoR network use the short break).

You can play Xango then cross over into Kalashnikov (or vice versa). Signal the Xango break, then indicate you are crossing over by making an "X" sign with your arms. Then make the signal for Kalashnikov and signal break 1. Play these two breaks back to back, coming out of break 1 into Kalashnikov.

As the tams have a pause of 3 beats at the end of their rhythms, it is a fantastic excuse to dance instead!

Then "big boobs, big f*cking boobs, great big boobs, great big f*cking boobs"
